We designed our saunas to age in the outdoors and harsh environments without any necessary cleaning and maintenance. If the event that you wish to provide supplemental or periodic treatment to the exterior of your sauna.
If you wish to clean the interior benches or floor of your sauna after personal or guest use, you can easily clean your sauna by wiping down with either a damp cloth or sponge with a mild soap, avoiding any products containing strong or harsh chemicals. You may wish to do a more thorough cleaning once a year.
All Portland Saunas are backed by a comprehensive 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects from the date of installation.
The HUUM heaters included with our saunas come with a 1-year warranty provided by Portland Saunas. After this period, any warranty claims will need to be processed directly through HUUM, which offers a 5-year warranty on their products.

Our Saunas Are Built To Last For Decades.
Building materials, ventilation and breathable building structures ensures long-lasting usage.
That really depends on your local city or county codes. However these are some basic guidelines.
-Structures under 200 sq ft often don’t require a building permit.
-Electrical work almost always requires a permit (especially for 220).
-A mechanical permit may be needed for venting a wood stove.
-Zoning rules apply for setbacks, property lines, and lot coverage.
Our custom saunas take about 8-12 weeks from initial site visit to delivery day. If its a kit or a Finnish Oma Sauna it could be ready for delivery immediately depending on stock availability.
